Watford FC Westfield Academy  Apply using the form below

Watford FC Community Sports & Education Trust and Westfield Academy have joined forces to create the Football Academy for boys and girls. This exciting programme will give talented young players between the ages 16 and 18 the chance to combine academic studies with practical football experience, designed to bridge the gap between grass roots and academy football.

Players from the academy will train daily and will play on a competitive basis which is an experience similar to football academies nationwide to which players may progress. In addition to the training, players will complete the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport with the support and guidance of the highly skilled teaching staff.

We provide players with the skills required to help them progress to a higher standard of education and football as well as gain experience necessary to work in community football coaching and other areas within the sports industry. Players will receive training in football coaching leading to FA Coaching badges, emergency aid and grounding in safeguarding issues and practice. All players are provided with Watford FC training kit.

All courses are staffed by fully qualified professionals, both on and off the field. This allows flexibility for students to choose from a combination of pathways to match their ability, aptitude, interests and aspirations.

The Football Academy is a fantastic opportunity for young people keen to develop their talent on the football pitch and find a route into a career in professional or semi-professional football, football coaching, the leisure/sports industry or university.
